Working Towards Safer Skilled Trades and Technology Careers for all

YWITT is a community-led non-profit society based in Whitehorse, Yukon.

YWITT is located on the territory of the self-governing Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwatch’an Council.

Since its incorporation in August 2000, YWITT has been working as a feminist, community non-profit organization based in Whitehorse, Yukon to advance equity in trades and technology careers, while working alongside community partners to run programs and initiatives.

This includes experiential workshops, advocacy support, community-led research and policy work to facilitate awareness, education and action toward equity and inclusion in the trades and technology sectors.

Financial Support

If you’re a woman or gender-diverse, YWITT can help with the costs of getting into the trades.

Our Work Gear Bursary offers $150 to buy tools, gear, personal protective equipment (PPE) or work boots. Our Penny Raven Fund contributes $500-$1000 to support education in technology and skilled trades.
